French Silk Pie

French Silk PieThis chocolate pie is DEE-licious, especially for the chocoholic. It's very rich and sure to be a pleaser at your next potluck.



With an electric mixer, beat together the butter and sugar. Add the melted chocolate then the vanilla extract and beat thoroughly. Add 1 egg and beat with mixer for a full 5 minutes; add second egg and beat with mixer for another full 5 minutes. Mix in a dash of salt at the end if you like.

Pour into pie shell and refrigerate for 4 hours. Cover with whipped cream before serving. (May cover with shaved chocolate or pecans.)

Serves 8.
